Krysta Scott, DVM

Graduated from UC Davis with a BS in Exercise Biology

Graduated from St. George’s University, DVM 2006

Dr. Krysta Scott has been involved in the feline medical field for over 25 years.  She spent her high school days well into college as a Veterinary Assistant at a feline only hospital.  After graduating Veterinary school, she continued with the same feline specialty hospital as a Veterinarian.  Her love for cats has never once waivered in all those years.  After moving to Idaho, Dr. Scott joined The Cat Doctor in 2021.

Her passion for practicing medicine has been problem solving challenging cases collaboratively with not only her veterinary team and specialists but the caretakers of the kitty as well.  Dr. Scott has been a long-time advocate of preventative care to provide an optimal life for the kitty and client together.

“Cats are intelligent, loyal animals with such unique personalities.  Once you get to know them and their personality traits, just like humans, you can build a rapport and foundation on love.  It becomes a Disneyland of kitty fun after that! While they are domestic in our eyes, they still have ancestral history that dances on the border of wild for some of these cuties, which just adds that spice of life.”

Dr. Scott spends her time outside of the hospital with her husband, kiddos, two cats, one dog, one rat, one fish and three chickens; they are looking forward to a couple ducks one day as well.  Jedi is an orange tabby boy and Pascal is a black and white polydactyly boy. Together the kitties and Fynn, her chocolate Labrador, rule the homestead.  health and wellness are also passions of Dr. Scott’s and believes staying fit from the inside out helps keep her energy up while chasing her animals and children around!

Dr. Scott is a fitness coach and enjoys coaching her kids’ sports teams too.  She and her husband love to travel and explore the outdoors; they plan to go on some exciting Idaho adventures!
