March & April 2006 "Sammy the Bull" |

 "Sammy
the Bull" aka "Sammy Six-Toes" is a true rescue kitty. My dad actually
got Sammy from the Humane Society for a woman friend. About 6 days later
this woman said she was allergic to cats. I asked her to hold off two more
days to see what we could come up with. Well she did not wait and took Sam
right back to the Human Society! I called the Human Society and asked what Sammy's "shelf life" was and they said approx. one hour! I begged them not to harm him if I would come down within the hour to rescue him. So we went back to the Human Society and paid "ANOTHER" $50.00 to bail him out of jail. |

Sammy is called "Sammy the Bull" after Sam Gravano the mafia hit man
because he is such a big fellow. He is Sammy Six-Toes because he is a
polydactyl dude (6 toes on every paw.) Sammy is a sweet, loving, cuddly,
big guy who has constantly shown his appreciation for being rescued. Sam's favorite things are food (lots of it), wrestling with Luke, more food, sleeping, licking, more food, more wrestling, kissing me on the lips, my food, his food, Luke's food, and just plain FOOD. |

He was the best thing that happened to our kitty Luke who we got from
the Cat Doctor when our little old girl, Hesher, passed on. Luke and Sammy
are best friends and wrestling partners; running, jumping, and rolling
around with each other. They are total entertainment for each other but
mostly for our family. Of course I must constantly vacuum the boxing ring as sometimes there is enough fur to make a whole new kitty. But Sam and Luke keep it friendly ( no rough stuff allowed). We are so happy that Sammy the Bull did not get the " Electric Chair" but he surely did not get the same sentencing as his name sake did. He is however sentenced to a loving home in the "Horsewood Cat House." |
